I’ve had nothing but frustrations with this headset since I bought it. Buying these was the biggest regret I had of 2018.The sound quality is whatever… not great, not terrible. But the quality of the material is awful. First off, the usb cable it came with was super fickle and didn’t really work well from the start. I could literally wiggle the cable and lose connection to the headset. So I threw that out pretty early on and used my own. Fine. Even then, the micro USB connection is still super sensitive, and didn’t even keep the cable snug inside… so over time it would just get loose and the slightest shake or bump would loosen it enough for it to loose connection. So right away this is not great, losing connection randomly is super annoying when I’m gaming. I even had my game crashing several times when this happened because apparently my computer didn’t like the audio device being removed suddenly? Moving on from the connection issues, I want to talk about the foam ear pieces that you can detach to replace… Well, they suck. Absolute trash. I had them come off way too easily and they take incredible patience to put back on… something that I lack when I’m in the middle of an online match and I need a functioning pair of headphones. So either I just say screw it and play the remainder of the match with one foam ear piece missing, or I sit there fiddling with it until I get it back on.It’s extremely frustrating trying to get them back on, because as I stated earlier, they come off super easily… just a slight tug in any direction and it pops off. But to get it on you have to slowly and carefully apply the right amount of pressure around it while going around the entire piece to secure it all in place… and when you get it about 80% of the way on, you have to be extra careful as you have to stretch it to the limit to get it over the last 20%, and the slightest slip and the whole thing comes off and you have to start over.I know it seems like a silly minor complaint, but when I’m in the middle of a match and I take off my headset momentarily to do something, and the cable comes unplugged or the foam earpiece pops off, I might as well just shut my computer down because I’m not getting back into that match any time soon with a working headset… or I’m going to sit there fiddling with it until I’m fuming and then have a terrible match because of it.Overall this headset is just crap. I just want a quality sound without hassle or dealing with all it’s little problems. Just a reliable headset I can take on and off and not worry about stuff falling off of it. These are going in the garbage… probably after I smash them into a thousand pieces.

I had this headset for less than one year before it broke.Overall, the unit sounds great. It has cool light profiles, and works well in-conjunction with the other logitech gaming gear. The ears are comfortable and it is nice having the ability to take off the magnetic aesthetic pieces on the ears.Sound quality is good, I can tell where people are in games like PUBG, movies sound good, and other media sounds good too.I enjoy the features on the ear which allow modification of volume and sound profiles on the fly with three programmable buttons. Why did I give it a one star? because there is a fatal mechanical design flaw on the ear pieces where they “swivel,” “bend” and “flex” to adjust to your ears. The plastic inside is weakened by use, eventually resulting it a catastrophic failure. Now my headphones do not seal around my ears, they sit limply at the bottom and tight at the top. It becomes apparent after the part fails exactly how much stress is placed on the plastic internal, all the flexing from the metal band connecting the ear pieces is focused onto this pencil sized piece of plastic in which the cables run. This weakens the plastic even further. So what can you do to fix it when this inevitable design failure comes to fruition? Good question, I am still trying to figure that out. I tried super-gluing the plastic piece together, but the amount of “flex” in the headset results in too much pressure on the super-glue resulting in further catastrophic failure. One year is not enough time for this product to complete its lifespan.

I bought this headset based on a lot of reviews. I’m not sure what headset the reviewers were wearing but it’s obviously not the one that I got. This headset suffers from a LOT of problems.1. The suspension system and ear pads. This headset has oddly shaped ear pads and a suspension system that rotates the earcups. Unfortunately as the headset ages and the pads get softer the rotation ends up rotating the microphone away from your mouth so people can’t hear you.2. The swing to mute on the boom is pretty cool. Unless you actually use it. My first headset lasted only a few months before the microswitch or the wiring inside the swing up boom started to degrade severely affecting the audio quality. I had to fight tooth and nail for Logitech to do a replacement and the process of fighting with them over it took a solid 3 months. You can’t talk to anybody at Logitech so it’s all e-mail and you get back misleading and dishonest replies from their technical staff. Most of the time waiting was because of a misunderstanding where the technician ASSUMED that I knew their RMA process. He then lied to me about the status of my headset that had not even been shipped yet. Simply the worst of the worst Indian e-mail technical support you could ask for with people who just blurt our policy and read from scripts and could care less about your issue.3. The range is terrible and unpredictable. Some days I can go past my desk and some days I can’t. I have bluetooth adapters that have better signal strength and range than this thing. When it does go out of range it beeps at you and you lose audio or control over the headset. It’s pretty terrible.4. The Logitech software (which you have to install to get any functioanlity at all) is really buggy. The headset often automatically mutes and unmutes itself without the users knowledge. Imagine seeing the big red light on the front of the boom and saying some confidential information only to discover that the very honest person you muted yourself for could hear everything you just said. Fortunately my friends are all super cool and understanding when I’m silent for a long time or when I read my credit card number into an open discord channel because the headset lies and does not actually mute when I want it to.If you are considering this thing. DON”T! Logitech is a pretty terrible company. They don’t care about their customers at all once the sale has been made. Support is the absolute cheapest minimum effort possible and takes forever. The product itself is of marginal quality and will break from regular use. Logitech is just pushing low end Chinese stuff now with their branding. Heck look at what they did to the owners of their Harmony remotes by force bricking people’s entire home automation systems with a forced firmware update that removed functionality people bought the devices for. Their response might as well have been “we don’t care”. That’s essentially the same response you will get if you have issues with this headset and you will because of it’s design flaws and poor quality. Save yourself the trouble and buy from a company that respects it’s customers. My replacement that they sent is showing signs of being on it’s last legs just a few months later. I’m just going to toss it in the trash when that day comes. I’ll never buy another Logitech product ever again.
