Got tired of my G930 disconnecting all the time among all the other problems I had and they finally died on me. This is what I went with as a replacement after doing some research. To keep it short, I think the G533 is better than than the G930 in every conceivable way. The battery life is better. I do get 16 hours from it out of a full charge. I also think they are more comfortable than the G930 although that will come down to personal preference due to the different materials used. I went through the whole 16 hours on one of my days off just as test and had no issues. The wireless range is much better. They stay synced throughout most of my house. Never had a connection issue. The mic is better and I love its flexibility. The sound quality is better after I messed about with the equalizer in both stereo and surround modes. I vastly prefer the little switch instead of having to hold down a button to turn them off and on. The dial is much more sensitive. If the headset had more than one G key, I’d be over the moon. My only gripe, and it’s a tiny one, is that the mic won’t stay out unless pulled all the way out. These are great other than that. I highly recommend, especially at under $100.

In the past I have had issues with other headsets, especially Logitech. They make great keyboards, joysticks, mice, controllers, and keypads, but audio devices is something I have always been disappointed with.I have, for years now, always had Creative headsets. Since they quit making the Tactic3D Omega, which was and still is one of the best gaming headsets ever made if you can find one, things have not gone quite so well in their wireless headset department. The Tactic3D Rage came out as its “replacement”. The sound quality was there, but the build quality was garbage. I had 2 of the headsets break on me in the last 18 months, both snapping at the twist point for the right ear. Since Creative doesn’t offer another wireless gaming headset at the moment, I decided to give Logitech another look after all these years to see what’s improved.I looked at a number of headsets, even their more expensive ones, but people were all pointing back to this ~$80 headset. Well, the last Logitech headset I bought for $98 almost 5 years ago was garbage (Logitech G35). It was so bad I returned it and got a refund. This time though, I decided to try again and got the G533.I am amazed at how much Logitech headsets have improved over the last 5 years. It sounds so nice, the surround is so clear, and the headset is very comfortable to wear over long periods of gaming. I’m so happy with my purchase this time… for now.No product is perfect, and this is no exception. I find the volume dial on the headset to be a little too easy to turn, making slight adjustments sometimes difficult. The part that worries me most and the Creative headsets still have Logitech beat: Logitech’s adjustable bands are plastic, Creative’s Tactic3D series were metal.Overall, I am still happy with these over the Rage, but I think they could have a few things done better.

Stop looking at the G933’s or anything else. Get these! You won’t regret it.PRO’S…+ These are 24G lighter then the G933’s and you can feel the difference. Maybe it’s better weight distribution?+ Battery life is 16 hrs on a full charge compared to G933’s battery life of 11 hrs without RGB and 8 hrs with RGB.+ G533 build quality is superior. The G933’s constantly squeaked at the joints and were made out of crap quality plastic that looks nice but has no function.+ Wireless signal is better on the G533’s than the G933’s. I can now listen to music anywhere in my house without it dropping signal. The G933’s would drop signal as soon as I stepped away from my computer.+ MIC is a bit better because of the G533’s added pop filter. Still sucks if you have high standards, but it’s an improvement over the G933’s.+ G533 has 1 macro button. I have mine bound to toggle surround sound… I like things simple.+ G933’s produced a lot of static when volume was above 50%. I have these G533’s turned up to 100% and hear 0 static. Terrific!Cons…- You can’t sit in front of a mirror and admire your sick RGB lighting. these have one light and that’s the power indicator (green)- Glossy material on ear-cups is prone to fingerprints.- The USB charging cable isn’t braided unlike the G933’s.Great headphones buy them. Much better than anything else on the market.Overall I think that these headphones offer a very simplistic approach to it’s predecessor, the G933. Everything the G933’s do, these do better. Comfort, battery life, weight, mic, build quality and wireless signal have all been improved. These headsets offer
